The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Fighters Party

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of characters, and a gripping narrative featuring celestial beings, fiends, and sinister influences expanding in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Key plot points for the third episode of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

Episode 3 ended with a dramatic pause and introduced the initial group of characters who will branch out from the primary party to begin their own adventure, apart from the other two tables.

This warrior group consists of Teor (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

Considering 13 cast members, it was evident from the beginning that having everyone at one table would be impossible.

That’s why, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Introduction, weaving together the personal journeys before splitting into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Strategists, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

Per the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a traditionally charged fight-heavy narrative style where non-violent answers are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might seem unsuited, but the developments of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are ideally matched for the warrior group.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the group has a clear idea where to proceed after a brutal first encounter with the enemy group.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose demise initiated the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his own means, invading the secret base, assaulting the character, and taking all the powerful objects to dispose of.

The traitor then cleared his obligations and ran away to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Additionally, each adventurer has a specific drive to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and best friend, wants revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure knows the region and warns that it is a hostile place.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having defied his relatives’ demands to execute Teor and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their position as important members in the influential clan could enable the group enter areas they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, The fighter swore a life debt to The savior for his deliverance and will now follow him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are sought by the authorities that control Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and Wicander betrayed the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by House Halovar.

This means them little choice but to travel to the remote area in search of Casimir.

Future Episodes

Based on the recent installment’s post-show segment, we discover that the warrior group will be absent next week, leaving the remaining eight cast members to round up the Questers and Planners tables.

Fans can expect learning which adventurers will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, released on the upcoming Thursday.
