Manchester City Three Goals to Nil Man United: Hemp on target in City dominant win.

Much like bad weather tore through the northern region the prior day, the home side blew United away at the their home ground. It was a convincing three goal win for the City coach's side due to goals from Knaak, Shaw and Lauren Hemp. It was a result that firmly established their title credentials as they consolidated their position at the league summit.

Successive Defeats for United

This result signalled consecutive WSL losses for the United manager's side for the maiden instance since May 2024, putting them a sizable gap off the league leaders with their trophy ambitions in serious doubt.

Manchester United's ability to juggle domestic and European soccer with a small roster has been a widely debated topic since they earned a place in the Champions League. Looking at the schedule, it always appeared this was the period that would seriously challenge this ability. Sadly for the visitors, they seemed weary from start to finish, the landmark win against the French side clearly having taken a toll.

Tactical Shifts
