AC Shadows Introduces Surprising Attack on Titan Collaboration for Holiday Season

In a bizarre partnership that defies conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Uncovered

According to the formal release, "An unusual meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of forbidden rituals and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret group.

The questline centers on "bizarre trials and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Transformations

The trailer features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Bonus Features

Players who finish the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana alongside multiple objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Latest Free Story Addition

This patch also introduces the game's third free story episode, titled "The Enigma." Faithful to its name, "The Mystery" also includes a original environmental puzzle that may finally shed light on some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
